Brittle and dry hair?

< Back

Hair becomes dry when you reduce the amount of physiological fat produced by the scalp glands, the notorious sebum that makes them fat when there’s too much of it.
Instead, when there’s too little sebum, the hair becomes dry and dull, and it tends to break and create split ends.
Here are 6 steps to tackle the issue of dry and fragile hair, divided in two groups of 3: daily life tricks and specific products that will help you to make your hair more moisturized, nourished and flexible.

First of all, let's see the tricks we can put into practice everyday.

1. Don't stress your hair
They're already weak and fragile, do not torture them. Go easy with the brush; a wide-toothed comb is better and more gentle. And don’t pull them up too tight with hair bands.
Avoid aggressive treatments, such as dyeing, bleaching and perming, which make the hair even more fragile.

2. So long heat
When washing and rinsing, try to keep the water temperature low. Take your hair dryer and straightener to the basement: excessive heat dries your hair further, and fragile hair doesn't really need it. In the summer, don’t overdo it with the sun, wear a hat as much as possible, and, at the beach, rinse them with fresh water immediately, after swimming in the sea.

3. Simply a healthy diet
There's a very simple rule: what's good for your body is good for your hair too. Therefore, choose fruit and vegetables, and foods with a higher vitamin content. Dry hair needs fat to balance itself; however, choose only the "good" fats, those contained in fish (especially salmon, cod, sardines, mackerel) and dried fruit (walnuts, almonds, peanuts).

Light, nourishment, hydration. Split ends and dull-looking hair will be a thing of the past.
